Rule 1Water plants before planting. This is important to get good soil contact between the root ball, and the soil in your yard. Rule 2Dig a hole that goes through any compacted soil. This is particularly important here in the valley, where a layer of hardpan exists, usually just a foot or so below the soil. Breaking through the hardpan allows excess water to drain away, so you won't frown your plants Rule 3Plant at the correct depth! Plant so the top of the root ball is visible after planting. Mix MasterStart Pre=Plant Fertilizer and Master Nursery Gold Rush Soil Conditioner with the soil in your yard Rule 4
Build a 1-2” watering basin then water 2-3 times after planting.
Rule 5
A 1-2” layer of mulch over the soil will keep the root ball cool.
Master Nursery Gold Rush & MasterStart is the key to a successful planting job.
